HSA and secondary coverage

Good evening my ex wife has insurance with an HSA account and I understand her spouse can not have a secondary insurance plan but can I being the father carry insurance without her losing her HSA account or insurance plan?

If I understand the question correctly, the situation is that your ex-wife is covering your child with a HDHP and HSA. If so, you can have any coverage that you want.

The issue is if your ex-wife was still covering you with the HDHP, you could not have additional converage.

My primary insurance is provided by my work and has a HSA account. I am also covered on my spouses plan as secondary. This plan offers co-pays and is not HSA plan. The primary insurance is telling me I cannot be covered under my spouses insurance. Is this correct? I have been paying additional premiums for the secondary insurance. (out of my pocket)
